The Statham Police Department is investigating two burglaries recent burglaries.
On Jan. 31, a burglary was reported at a residence on McCarty Road. No items were reported missing. On Jan. 23, an Oakspring Street residence was burglarized. Approximately 100 DVDs were stolen.
Other recent incidents investigated by Statham Police include:
• criminal trespass on Dooleytown Road. A person attempted to gain access to the building but was unable to do so.
• harassing phone calls on Atlanta highway. The calls were placed to a business.
Statham Police also made three arrests during the past week.
Jessie Adam Hicks, 26, of Oakwood was arrested Jan. 24 on a warrant from another agency.
Stephen Gravitt, 20, of Statham was arrested Jan. 30 for driving without a valid license. He was also charged with no insurance and faulty equipment.
Courtney Wright, 18, of Statham was also arrested on Jan. 30. She was arrested on a warrant from Barrow County.
One traffic accident was reported during the past week. On Jan. 28, a one vehicle accident occurred on Jefferson Street when the driver struck a deer in the roadway. The vehicle occupants were uninjured.
For the week, Statham officers issued 12 traffic citations and eight warnings.
