Girl Scouts holding new driver seminar

Barrow County Girl Scout Troup #11819 will host a new driver automotive seminar on Feb. 12, 2010.

Topics to be covered include traffic safety, changing tires, roadside emergencies, vehicle maintenance and the dangers of distracted driving. Students will also have the opportunity to drive a NASCAR simulator.

The event is open to new drivers age 15 and up. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

To register, email rainey164@bellsouth.net by Feb. 8. Space is limited to 72 participants.

The seminar will be held from 12-4:30 p.m. at the P.A.L. facility in Carl. Check in begins at 11:30 a.m.
