Statham Police were called to an Atlanta Highway residence after a dog at the location bit two people. One person was transported to Barrow Regional Medical Center for treatment. The dog was later captured by Barrow County Animal Control.
Other incidents investigated by Statham Police last week include harassing phone calls at a Peters Street location, a disorderly house on Atlanta Highway, criminal trespass at a residence on Dooleytown Road and a missing persons report.
Statham Police made two arrests last week. Jessie Adam Hicks, 26, of 5357 Chigger Hill Circle in Gainesville was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Forsyth County. Gustavo DeLeon Garcia, 21, of 90 Jones Street in Buford was arrested for driving while unlicensed and speeding.
For the week, Statham officers issued six traffic citations and six warnings.
