Sentences issued in Barrow County Magistrate Court

The following cases were heard in Barrow County Magistrate Court on Jan. 19, 2010 with Judge June Davis presiding. Those charged and their sentences are as follows:

• Lashawna Anderson, theft by shoplifting: 12 months probation, a $678 fine and a 500-word essay entitled “How much revenue is lost annually due to shoplifting.”

• Charles Howard, theft by shoplifting: $678 fine.

• Stephanie Payton Lovelace, underage consumption of alcohol: 12 months probation, $490 fine, 500 word essay and scrapbook articles.

• Nicole Thompson, two counts of deposit account fraud: Two years probation, financial responsibility class and $538 in fines and restitution.
