Ligouri Saladin, The Supreme Governor of the International Moose Lodge Association and Local Governor Thomas O’Neal of Winder Moose Lodge 262 presented Lt. Frank Farr of the Winder Police Department with the Officer of the Year award. The award was inscribed “In appreciation of your dedicated service and support.” Farr thanked his wife Angela and his eight year old daughter Lexi for their continued support.

Lt. Frank Farr of the Winder Police Department was recently named officer of the year by Winder Moose Lodge 262.

“It is a great honor to be receiving this award and to be in the company of such fine public safety personnel,” Farr said.

Farr, a 23-year law enforcement veteran, has dedicated the past 17 years to the City of Winder Police Department and is currently the Criminal Investigations Division Commander.

According to Sgt. Det. Rachel Love, public information officer for the Winder Police Department, Farr is well liked and respected by his peers.

Farr is currently enrolled in the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College and hopes to have an active role in the future of law enforcement within the department.

I know you've worked very hard and had to bite your lip more than once. You are an awesome man, not just officer. I'd be your Hucklberry any day.

You, Dennis, and Rob are very fine officers. The City of Winder has a wonderful police department, and will move in the right direction. Don't let the media get you down, remember what there job is "To Sell Papers."

I know the difference between Hucklberry and Huckleberry, and I know where it came from. I did not mean to steal any sunshine from "Officer of the year Farr" he is a great guy. You are also right on the money saying it was a long time coming. No disrespect ment at all to Lt. Farr. I used to work with him long ago, and would work FOR him anytime.

No, I was correcting my spelling error. And you know Frank, I had to explain to him about the saying so he would go home and watch it. I used to work with him too, he could make 12 fly by couldn't he? Good man and great friend.
