Grow room found in Winder apartment

Winder Police were called to 252 Springdale Drive Apt. 9 on Jan. 18 in reference to a tenant possibly growing marijuana within the residence.

After receiving permission to search the apartment, officers discovered a commercially built portable grow room in one of the bedrooms. The room was equipped with 1,000 watt grow lights, a ventilation system, scales, fertilizer and an irrigation system.

The tenant, Hailey Michelle Manning, 21, was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with the intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Related Objects and Possession of Tools used in the Commission of the Crime of Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act (V.G.C.S.A.).
