Drunk man arrested after going door to door

Police later located Marty N. Wilson, 50, of 288 Seventh Street in Winder, walking unsteadily through the parking lot of the Dollar General. According to the police report, vehicles had to avoid the drunken man as they entered and exited the parking area.

The officer noticed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from Wilson. During a search of Wilson’s clothing, the officer found a pocket knife and a pipe commonly associated with the use of crack cocaine.

Wilson was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Barrow County Detention Center.
