A woman called police last week after repeatedly being groped by a neighbor.
According to the victim, her neighbor, Freddie Thurmond, age 56 of 201 A Georgia Avenue in Winder, grabbed her crotch as she walked past him. The victim said that she asked Thurmond not to grab her and that her godfather also told Thurmond to stop.
The next time she passed Thurmond, he grabbed her crotch again. At that point, the victim called police.
The victim said she has asked Thurmond on several occasions not to touch her, but that he continues to disregard her requests.
Thurmond was arrested and charged with sexual battery.
Winder Police also arrested three individuals on charges including kidnapping and rape. The arrests took place on Nov. 25. As of press time, details of the arrests had not been released. Those arrested and their charges are:

• Dontario Vaugh Dale Butler, 18, 244 Scott Circle, Winder, rape and kidnapping.
• Carlos Marquis Moon, 23, 113 Williamson Street, Winder, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, rape, aggravated sodomy and kidnapping.

• Jessica Dawn Stewart, 25, 939 Hog Mountain Road, Winder, obstruction and loitering.
• Luis Enrique Gonzalez-Pina, 20, 405 Akins Road, Statham, driving while unlicensed, DUI and headlights required.
