In the school board district 1 race, Blake Foster joined local business owner Jacquelin Twiss in challenging incumbent Randall Holland.
For the school board district 4 seat, Beverly Kelley and Will Dunn qualified to run against incumbent Larry Ballard.
Though school board district 9 incumbent Mark Still will not have a Republican challenger in the primary, he will face off against Rushia Cooper in the November general election. Cooper was the sole Democrat to qualify for any of the local commission or school board races.
Two Republicans qualified earlier this week to compete against school board district 7 incumbent Dan Cromer. Duwayne Anderson and Dexter Sullivan qualified for the race on Monday.
Of the school board seats up for grabs, only district 3 school board member Connie Wehunt will be unopposed during the primary.
