The Winder-Barrow High School varsity basketball teams swept visiting Apalachee Saturday night. Coach Brenda Hill's Lady Bulldoggs took a 42-30 win while Eli Connell's Bulldoggs avenged a loss from earlier this month to defeat AHS 52-29. The rivalry moves to Winder-Barrow High School. The WBHS and Apalachee High School varsity basketball teams will square off Saturday at 6 p.m. with the Bulldoggs and Lady Doggs serving as hosts. Winder residents report rash of thefts from autos

Winder police are on the hunt for the culprits who rummaged through at least eight vehicles last week. In some cases, the thieves looked through glove compartments or center consoles, leaving behind a mess. In other cases, the thieves stole electronic equipment or other items. [Full Story »]
