Old Lady Luck continues to smile on the Apalachee High School football team.
AHS won a coin toss Saturday morning to determine who will host the third round contest between the Wildcats and the Griffin High School Bears. Since both teams are No. 1 seeds a coin toss was used to determine the host location. Game time Friday is 7:30 p.m. at R. Harold Harrison Stadium.
AHS athletic director Brian Moore said tickets for the game will be $10 in compliance with Georgia High School Association bylines.
Pregame tickets will be on sale for $10 at WIMO Radio in downtown Winder beginning Monday at 10 a.m. through the end of business hours Wednesday.
Tickets will also be sold from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Elementary School, Apalachee High School and Auburn Elementary School.
After these pregame sales, tickets may be purchased at the gate Friday for $10. Gates will open at 5 p.m.
Griffin is also undefeated and has been the No. 1 team in AAAA in the most respected high school rankings released each week. The Bears steamrolled through Ware County Friday night in their second-round matchup.
See Wednesday's print edition of the Barrow Journal for an in-depth preview of the AHS-Griffin quarterfinal matchup.
