A Winder man is facing multiple charges after assaulting his girlfriend’s teenage daughter.
Man charged with molestation, sexual battery
Willie Smith Jr., 47, of 271 East Wright Street Apt. 4 in Winder reportedly entered the victim’s room while she was sleeping. The girl awoke to find Smith lying next to her in bed. The victim told police she could feel Smith’s genitals pressing against her buttocks. According to the report, Smith had one arm around the victim and had his hand down the front of her shorts.
The victim began to kick and struggle to get Smith away from her. When she did so, Smith rolled her over, attempted to pry her legs apart and prevented her from getting out of bed. The victim continued to struggle until Smith gave up and left the room.
After Smith left the room, the victim noticed a used condom on the bed next to her head. The victim then went to her mother’s bedroom and told her what happened.
When confronted by the mother, Smith denied doing anything to the victim and left the residence when the mother called police.
The victim also reported that she noticed her IPod missing from her room after the incident.
Smith was charged with child molestation, sexual battery, simple battery, false imprisonment, theft by taking and cruelty to children.
