A Winder woman called police after a fight with her son over money.
According to the report, the woman said one of her sons had received a settlement check and she used the money to buy a new vehicle. Another son became upset because the mother was allowing her girlfriend to use the vehicle as her own.
The mother said her son “got into her face,” so she picked up a lamp to defend herself. The mother claimed her son then put his hand on her head and shoved her towards a wall. The mother further claimed that her son threatened to punch her girlfriend in the face the next time he saw her.
The mother’s girlfriend arrived home during the argument. The girlfriend told police that the son struck her several times in the face with a closed fist.
The son denied striking either woman. He said his mother’s girlfriend arrived home and started yelling at him. He admitted pushing the women away from him in an attempt to avoid being hit.
The investigating officer did not see evidence of physical injuries to any of the involved parties.
Due to conflicting statements and lack of evidence, no arrests were made.
