A Winder woman called police last week to report several items missing from her Amherst Drive residence.
The woman notified authorities after arriving home and finding her back door pried open and the door frame damaged.
Police noticed a kitchen table in close proximity to the door. The victim explained that she had attempted to block the back door with the table because two acquaintances told her that “someone was going to split the profits from her belongings” after breaking into the residence.
The victim told police that two other acquaintances had accused each other of wanting to split the profits from the televisions inside her residence.
According to the victim, all four acquaintances know each other, but none admitted burglarizing her residence.
Police recovered a tire iron and fingerprints from inside the home.
Items stolen include a 47 inch flat screen television, a Phillips flat screen television, a diamond necklace with a heart shaped pendant, a gold bracelet, an aquamarine ring, a gold band and a gold bracelet with ten commandment charms. The woman added that her dog, a white Maltese named Lilly, was stolen in September.
The case remains under investigation.
