Three individuals were arrested October 21 for growing marijuana within the Barrow County portion of Hoschton.
Farias Antonio Meadas, Torress Alejandro Diaz and Erick Francisco Quintero-Salas are currently being held at the Barrow County Detention Center on charges of manufacturing marijuana.
After receiving a tip from another agency regarding a suspected drug operation, narcotic deputies from the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office investigated a residence located at 1846 Highway 211 in Hoschton.
After discovering a marijuana plant near the rear of the residence, investigators obtained a search warrant for the main residence. During the search, investigators seized eight marijuana plants, three mason jars containing dried marijuana, a small amount of cocaine and two handguns.
Investigators subsequently investigated a neighboring trailer which was also being used by the suspects as a marijuana grow house. Narcotics agents recovered numerous plants from the trailer with an as yet undetermined street value.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
