Man asks for jail, shower

The officer asked the man why he was in the roadway.

According to the police report, the man, Timothy Dale Montgomery, age 37, of 1203 Brent Way in Winder, responded in a loud voice “I am [expletive deleted] drunk.”

The officer noted that Montgomery was having a difficult time standing in one place. When Montgomery staggered to the side of the roadway and almost fell down, the officer asked him to lean against the patrol car.

During a pat down search for weapons, the officer reached into Montgomery’s back pocket and felt something on his hand. The officer wrote, “I began to smell solid waste.”

When the officer asked Montgomery what he had put his hand on, Montgomery replied, “I [expletive deleted] my pants.”

After Montgomery continued to use profanity and talk loudly, he was arrested for public drunkenness.

Once he was in handcuffs, Montgomery reportedly said, “I should be taken to jail because I am [expletive deleted] drunk and I need a shower to clean off.”

Montgomery was transported to the Barrow County Detention Center where he was released to detention personnel and required to change his clothing.
