Sentences issued in Superior Court

The following sentences were issued as part of negotiated plea agreements on October 14, 2009 with Superior Court Judge David Motes presiding:

• Antwon Johnson, sale of cocaine and two counts sale of marijuana: four years confinement plus 11 years probation and $4,000 fine. Additional counts of sale of cocaine and marijuana: nolle prosequi.

• Steven Jessie Dylan Thompson, terroristic threats: four months confinement, four years plus eight months probation, no violent contact with victim and $1,000 fine. Family violence battery: nolle prosequi.

• Cyrus Lee Vickers, theft by taking: ten years probation, $1,000 fine plus restitution. Possession of methamphetamine and additional count of theft by taking: nolle prosequi.

• Jonathan Wallace Tucker, burglary and four counts entering auto: three years confinement, seven years probation, $1,000 fine plus restitution. Two counts of criminal trespass: nolle prosequi.

• Anthony Lee Thompson, financial transaction card theft: two years probation, no contact with victim, $1,000 fine and restitution. Theft by taking: nolle prosequi.

• Tim L. Tanner, family violence battery: two years confinement, one year probation, no violent contact with victim and $1,500 fine.

• Brian Keith Baughcum, family violence simple assault: 12 months probation, no violent contact with victim and $500 fine.

The following defendants were given a suspended sentence with a condition of completion of work release. These defendants have been removed from work release and transferred back to the Barrow County Detention Center. On the order of Superior Court Judge David Motes, the sentences were amended as follows:

• Joshua Healan, sentence to be suspended upon successful completion of the residential substance abuse treatment program.

• John Bearden, sentence amended to require three months in the Barrow County jail in place of the work release requirement.

The following sentences were issued as part of negotiated plea agreements on October 15, 2009 with Superior Court Judge Currie Mingledorff II presiding:

• Jonathan Graham, statutory rape: one year confinement and $500 fine.

• James Anthony Walden, child molestation, sexual exploitation of children and an additional 30 counts of sexual exploitation of children: 20 years probation, no contact with victim, compliance with sex offender requirements, no computer access, banishment from Barrow County except to report for probation and $2,000 fine.

• Bradford Paul Redmond, theft by taking: 12 months probation plus $500 fine. Terroristic threats and acts: three years probation, no contact with victim and $1,000 fine. Simple assault: nolle prosequi.

• Patricia Ward, aggravated assault: 15 years probation and $1,000 fine. Aggravated battery: nolle prosequi.

• Antonio Eugene Shepherd, battery: 12 months probation, no violent contact with victim and $500 fine.

• Dwayne Ray Adams, obstruction of a law enforcement officer: 12 months probation less two days confinement and $500 fine.

• Kimberly Worley, drugs to be kept in original container, no insurance and driving a vehicle with suspended registration: 12 months probation and $1,250 fine. Possession of a controlled substance: nolle prosequi.

• Taquavius Smith, escape: remanded to the state penitentiary for three years.

• Jerritt Laine Contario, terroristic threats and obstruction: two years probation, no contact with victim and $1,500 fine. Additional count of obstruction: nolle prosequi.
