Auburn police arrested a Dacula man as a result of a phone call advising that drugs were being moved within the City of Auburn.
According to the caller, the drugs were being transported by an individual driving a brown Ford Taurus.
An Auburn police officer spotted the vehicle at the intersection of Brown’s Bridge Road and Kilcrease Road. The officer initiated a traffic stop and asked the driver, Robby Lee Knight, age 31 of 2294 Shane Lane in Dacula, for his license.
When Knight began reaching between the seats of his vehicle, the officer ordered him not to move. When he began reaching again, he was ordered out of the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found an unspecified quantity of methamphetamine and a glass pipe.
Knight was charged with driving without a license on his person, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a drug related object.
Other arrests made by Auburn Police this past week include:
• Michael Allen Jones, 20, 10 South Williams Street, Winder, probation violation.
• Horacio Barrios, 35, 316 Carter Road, Auburn, failure to appear.
