AuburnFest 2009 is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The annual event will have opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. followed by a full day of events including a car show, quilting display, canned food drive, book sale, pie baking contest, railroad memorabilia, hula hoop contest, pony rides and inflatables. The always popular cow patty bingo will also be featured.
The schedule of events includes:
•opening ceremonies, 10 a.m.
•Funtime Square Dancers, 10:30 a.m.
•David Leon and Jordan Rager, 11 a.m.
•Decree Christmas music, noon
•Pie baking contest, Tamara Goldinella (jazz/blues concert), 1 p.m.
•Auburn pageant, 2 p.m.
•Pageant talent competition, 4 p.m.
•Cow patty bingo begins, (cow makes entrance to tennis courts) and Georgia Sensation (70s, 80s rock) Street Dance, 5 p.m.
Shuttle bus service will be available into the downtown area.
You forgot to mention that the Fort Yargo Living History Society will be there !
They will be demonstrating the skills and crafts of our colonial ancestors.
