Barrow County Sheriff’s deputies continue to search for two men wanted in connection with a Thursday afternoon bank robbery in Bethlehem.
The suspects escaped with more than $11,000 in cash.
Police have recovered the suspects’ vehicle, a black 2005 Range Rover. The vehicle was located in a field near Bethlehem Church Road and Smith Mill Road at approximately 8:15 a.m. Friday morning.
The vehicle had been reported stolen in DeKalb County earlier this week.
The bank robbery occurred Thursday just after 4 p.m. at the Community Bank and Trust branch located at 12 Angel Street in Bethlehem. None of the bank’s employees were injured during the robbery.
According to witnesses, one of the suspects was dressed in black jeans, a gray sweater and dark colored work gloves. The second suspect was wearing a red, long-sleeved pullover shirt with jeans and white latex gloves.
Both men wore nylon stocking masks and hats to conceal their identities. Investigators do not know the race of the two suspects.
