Man arrested for dancing and stripping

Police were dispatched to the back parking lot of the Winder Police station after a dispatcher reported a black male was dancing and stripping at the location.

A few moments later, a Winder fireman advised that the male had crossed over to the Bank of America parking lot.

Police located the suspect, later identified as Calvin Lake, 35, of 74 East Wright Street in Winder, crossing North Broad Street at Stephens Street.

According to the police report, Lake was still dancing as he crossed the road.

When asked for his identification, Lake replied “You know me. I’m Calvin Lake.”

The officer noted that Lake was heavily intoxicated, stumbling, slurring his speech and “not making any sense.”

Lake was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
