A Winder woman was arrested after threatening and then biting an officer.
Police were dispatched to 136 King Street in Winder in response to terroristic threats calls.
When police arrived, they learned the subject of the call, Deadra Austin, age 37, was wanted on charges of aggravated assault.
When one of the officers informed Austin she was being placed under arrest, Austin said she was not leaving the house until her children returned home.
After the officer advised that was not an option, Austin again said she would not go and warned the officer that if he touched her, she would find out where he lived and “stab your mother (expletive deleted) ass.”
The officer attempted to place Austin in handcuffs, but Austin lunged towards the officer and struck him on the arm, back, neck and head. During the struggle, Austin bit the second officer on the chest. Officers were forced to use a taser to subdue Austin.
Austin was arrested on the outstanding warrant and faces additional charges of obstructing a law enforcement officer and terroristic threats and acts.
