A gas thief struck the Atlanta Highway Ingles gas station twice in a thirty minute period last Wednesday.
The gas station clerk said a slim white male with short blond hair stole $35 worth of gas at approximately 8 a.m.. The clerk said the thief was driving a white Chevrolet Impala with a faded drive out tag.
Twenty minutes later, the clerk noticed the same man at the pumps. According to the clerk, the man attempted to disguise his identity by wearing a red ball cap.
The thief was also driving a different vehicle, a tan Ford Explorer bearing the same faded drive out tag the clerk originally observed on the Impala.
The man stole $51 worth of gasoline before leaving.
The gas station had no video surveillance. Police immediately patrolled the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
