Winder Police investigate home invasion

Winder Police are currently investigating a home invasion which occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. this afternoon in the 300 block of Embassy Drive.

The homeowner and her 10-year-old daughter were at home when two black males forcibly entered the residence by kicking in the back door. The victims retreated to a safe location within the house and called police.

The suspects are described as clean cut black males of average height and build. One suspect was dressed entirely in black clothing. The second suspect was wearing a white dress shirt with pin stripes.

The only item currently reported missing from the residence is a 40-inch flat panel television.

Police are also seeking information about a light colored panel van which was seen near the residence prior to the home invasion.

The Winder Police Department encourages anyone with information about the suspects or the van to call 770-867-2156. Tips may also be provided anonymously at www.cityofwinder.com.
