Disturbance leads to two arrests

Statham Police arrested two subjects during an investigation of a disturbance on Sixth Street last week.

Mark Arthur Turner, 38, and Tabitha Charlene Turner, 38, both of 525 Providence Circle in Statham were arrested during the September 19 incident.

Mark Turner was charged with simple battery and criminal trespass, Tabitha Turner was arrested for simple battery.

Details of the incident have not been released.

Statham Police Public Information Officer Buddy Hardigree said the incident remains under investigation.

Other arrests made by Statham Police last week include:

• Sharae Artelia Daniel, 17, 2183 Jackson Drive, Statham, theft by shoplifting.

• Blanca Margarita Perez, 23, 213 Harvest Way, Athens, driving while unlicensed and speeding.

winder barrow residents: when will the police coruption in this town stop...i know many high ranking officers in winder who used to be dope heads in school and many that are still dope heads now...why should they be aloud to arrest people 4 drugs when all the do is keep the dope and do it themselves...ive seen it with my own 2 eyes

concerned citizen, when are you going to learn some reading comprehension? The article is concerning action by the Statham Police, not the Winder Police.
