Statham man charged with child molestation

A Statham man has been charged with child molestation after a school program designed to teach children about proper and improper touching led a student to reveal that she had been victimized.

After an investigation by authorities, Rico Durant Tucker, 46, of 398 Coleman Drive in Statham, was arrested on charges of child molestation and cruelty to children.

Other arrests by Statham police this past week include:

• Jonathan Jason Powell, 31, 2189 Ponderosa Trail, Monroe, driving with suspended license.

• Misty Lee Dunagan, 34, 2006 Providence Road, Statham, sale of hydrocodone.

• Rick Harold Martin, 48, 1725 Atlanta Hwy., Statham, family violence battery and simple battery.
