A Winder man attempted to explain his poor performance during field sobriety evaluations by claiming he had a “lazy eye” and astigmatism.
Police stopped 29-year-old James Renfroe Jr. of 280 Courtyard Circle in Winder after a citizen called 911 to report a possible drunk driver.
The responding officer witnessed Renfroe fail to maintain lane in the area of W. Athens Street and McNeal Road and initiated a traffic stop.
In his report, the officer noticed that Renfroe’s “eyes were very glossy and his speech slow and lazy.”
After conducting the field sobriety evaluation, the officer asked for consent to search Renfroe’s vehicle. The search revealed 18 Valium pills and eight Xanax pills.
Renfroe was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to maintain lane and seatbelt violation.

There are MORE jobs being shipped OFF SHORE and no body complains about those jobs BEING taken away from us (sic) "poor hardworking" American.
Here's a news flash for you. The Hispanics come here and do jobs the "poor hardworking" Americans don't want and won't do. That money STAYS (or at least the majority) in America.
The jobs off shored (IE ... sent to India, China, Africa, South America, Ireland ....) that money NEVER sees American soil.
Next time you use a call center (IE help desk for whatever product) ask the person where they are located! Take a look at the products in Wally World -- see how many say "Made in America" Get an X Ray, MRI, etc.. and think it's being read by a doctor in America -- Think again.
You want to whine about non-Americans taking away jobs, whine about the jobs being sent abroad!!!!!!!!!! Leave the hard working Hispanics alone. It's far easier to blame what you can see, then what you can't.
And one final comment -- ALL American with the exception of the Native American Indian CAME from immigrants.
If they are here, learning the English language and doing the paperwork to become legal American Citizens, Welcome.
