Dr. Pepper thief arrested after brief chase

The officer pursued the suspect and found the man lying on the ground in a nearby wooded area.

The officer ordered the suspect to show his hands and walk out of the woods. When the man stood, two bottles of Dr. Pepper soda fell out of his pants.

The man, Andrew Jesse Lee, 17, 150 Celestial Run, Winder, admitted to stealing the sodas from the convenience store.

Lee was charged with theft by shoplifting and transported to the Gwinnett County Detention Center.

• James Larry Bowen, 38, 12 West Star Street, Bethlehem, outstanding warrants.

• Jackson Shaquita, 21, 946 East River Bend Drive, Lilburn, outstanding warrant.

• Shaun Magnus Reynolds, 25, 1126 Bradford Park D, Duluth, outstanding warrant.

• Jonathan Michael Casper, 22, 262 Punkin Junction Road, Bethlehem, outstanding warrant.

• Kato Antonio Reed, 29, 2524 MLK Jr. Drive, Atlanta, trafficking cocaine and possession of marijuana.

• Rodney Anthony Williams, 45, 355 Dartmouth Drive, Atlanta, trafficking cocaine and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

• Donna Elaine McDaniel, 40, 316 Carter Road, Auburn, battery and disorderly conduct.
