An Auburn police officer on routine patrol last Thursday night observed a man running from the Kangaroo convenience store on Highway 8.
The officer pursued the suspect and found the man lying on the ground in a nearby wooded area.
The officer ordered the suspect to show his hands and walk out of the woods. When the man stood, two bottles of Dr. Pepper soda fell out of his pants.
