Fourteen people were arrested early Wednesday in a multi-agency drug sweep that followed a five-month undercover operation by the Winder Police Department’s narcotics unit.
Assisting in the sweep were the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office and the State Parole Office.
An arrest by sheriff’s investigators turned into a family affair after they discovered marijuana growing on a home’s back deck and found three weapons – two Smith & Wesson pistols and an Inter Arms pistol.
According to a Winder Police Department press release, the "family was growing and processing marijuana on the back deck.”
The county investigators confiscated the drugs and weapons.
Taylor Rutledge, 20, of 262 Appalachee Church Road was charged with the sale of marijuana, the sale of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, the sale of alprazolam, and the sale of alprazolam within 1,000 feet of a school, according to the WPD press release.
Hilga Green Rutledge, 48, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, and Don Rutledge Jr., 47, was charged with violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, according to the sheriff's office.
Also arrested were:
• Kenwin Johnson, Keith Moreland and Willie Peek, violation of parole.
• Timothy Mayweather, violation of probation.
• Derrick Ansley, sale of Lortab and sale of Lortab within 1,000 feet of government housing.
• Travis Flannigan, sale of cocaine.

The investigation was led by Winder detective Gregg Teatino.
“The narcotics unit focused primarily on the illegal distribution/sale of prescription medications, as it seems to be a growing trend,” Teatino said.
Added Lt. Frank Farr, the criminal investigations commander: “We will continue to focus our efforts on lowering the drug activity within the city limits of Winder.”
1. Grow/Make drugs
2. Sell/Deal drugs
3. Use drugs
....thus they only hurt themselves, unless they get out and drive, in which case get them for DUI.
And what happens if they cause an incident where someone is hurt/killed? Is it still a victimless crime?
Or what about the bread winner of the family who spends money on drugs rather than his/her family?
Or what about the people who are robbed because the person buying the drugs needs money and can't hold a job because HE/SHE IS ALWAYS HIGH?
Do you want me to go on with more examples of when it's not a "victimless" crime. I mean I can..... but then again, I'm sure you've heard it all before and still refuse to listen.

For those who really want to know, Pot is as harmless as oregano. I can't find a single instance where someone has died from Pot. How many can you find from alcohol? Why is Alcohol even legal. Do you know what happens to your body when you get drunk? You are POISONING yourself.
