Winder narcotics officers today seized a pound of marijuana in an undercover operation that resulted in the arrests of a Cumming couple.
Holly Ann Smith and Aaron Smith were both charged with sale of marijuana and sale of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, according to a Winder Police Department press release.
The Smiths allegedly brought the marijuana to a location near a private school within Winder’s city limits and were arrested at 11 a.m.
“The timely response of the patrol division allowed for a safe and quick apprehension of these subjects,” said Lt. Frank Farr, commander of the narcotics unit.
The police department confiscated the Smith’s 1996 Saturn SL1.
