Douglas D. Flood, 54, of Braselton, formerly of Holly, Mich., died Sunday, April 13, 2008.
He was born on January 3, 1954, in Goodrich, Mich., he was the son of Alice Visser and step-father, Clarence Visser, of Holly, Mich., and father, the late Earl Fisher. was a meat cutter for almost 40 years, and was a member of New Hope Evangelical Church in Georgia. He was a dedicated father, loved ones stated. Mr. Flood was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Kerner; and a brother, John Flood.
Survivors in addition to his mother and step-father, include sons, Jacob Daniel Flood and Courtney Garrett Flood, both of Georgia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Robert Suski, and Char and Keith Krause, all of Holly, Mich., Kristine and James Brody, Illinois, Janet and Bill Staricha, Pennsylvania, Patricia and Thomas Hancock, Fenton; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Dawn Fisher, Holland; and many wonderful friends in Georgia.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17, at 11 a.m., at Dryer Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Pedley officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly, Mich. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, from 2 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
