A Statham woman was killed and a Buford man was seriously injured Monday in a two-vehicle wreck on Ga. Hwy. 316 at Barber Creek Road.
The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said the deceased victim was Betty Jane Wheeler, 77, of Statham. The injured driver of the second car was Justin Craig Stephens of Buford. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

We need traffic lights at that and other intersections on 316. Who do we talk to? How many people need to die on that highway before something is done?

What we need is for drivers to drive more carefully. A red light at every intersection will not help. I drive on 316 everyday, and have been sence it was open. I have never been in an accident on 316. I watch for all the idots out there.
