Marilyn “Sue” Shipman, 75, of Winder, died Sunday, April 6, 2008.
She was born in Valusia County, Fla., the daughter of the late Breece E. Bennett and Pauline Simmons Edwards. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, James Henry Shipman, Sr.; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Dean Shipman, Albuquerque, N.M., Terrance Lee and May Shipman, Winder, and James H. Shipman Jr. and Ann Shipman; daughters and son-in-law, Sherry and Roger Schriner, Braselton, and Vicki Hales, Winder; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Breece E. Bennett Jr., Oak Hill, Fla.; and a sister, Barbara J. Ward, Hendersonville, N.C.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 11, at 11 a.m., at Barrow Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Roger Hardy officiating.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
