Regina Brock McIntyre has announced that she plans to run for Clerk of Court in Barrow County this year on the Republican Primary ballot. She worked in the Clerk’s office for 18 years, the last seven of which se served as Chief Deputy Clerk.
McIntyre resigned from the office to run for the Clerk’s position in 2004 and since that time has been working in the Barrow County Leisure Services Department.
“During my last campaign and while speaking to people since then, I have learned even more of what the people of Barrow County want and expect from the Clerk’s office,” she said. “Those needs are simple yet essential. (1) File, accurately record, and return documents in a timely manner. (2) Make everyone feel welcomed and respected when entering the office. (3) Assist people with their records. (4) Listen and assist when there is a problem. Basically, those needs are service…service…service. It is true that the office cannot give legal advice, but that office can serve and assist.
The Primary election will be held on July 15.
