The Tree House will hold its 10th annual “A Night of Hope for the Children” live and silent auction on Friday, March 14.
The Tree House’s mission is to strengthen communities by reducing the occurrence and impact of child abuse through counseling, educating, supporting and nurturing children and families in Barrow, Banks and Jackson counties.
The auction will include a number of items up for sale to the highest bidder.
“One such item up for bid is a Walt Disney World vacation,” said Meg Loggins, outreach coordinator. “There is even a romantic getaway to the mountains. All the money raised goes to help the Tree House.”
The Disney trip includes a four-night stay at the Pop Culture Hotel and a five-day park hopper pass for a family of four.
Other items will include signed Georgia Bulldogs memorabilia, an Atlanta summer fun basket and a Tennessee get-away basket. Additional items may include Atlanta Braves memorabilia.
A Harley-Davidson Fatboy will be raffled off that night. Tickets are still on sale and can be purchased at The Tree House, Cycle World of Athens, Barrow County Sheriff’s Office, Winder Fire Department or Barrow County Fire. Tickets are $10 each.
“Every year it amazes me how great the community is with their generosity and support.” said Loggins. “I am truly hoping that this year will be no different.”
Sponsorships are available for $1,000, $500, $250 and $100. Individual tickets are $35 each.
