A vacant house in Statham was destroyed by fire on Friday morning, according to the Barrow County Fire and Emergency Services.
When firefighters arrived at the house at 160 Arnold Road, they found a vacant house that was fully involved in fire.
“A neighbor noticed the fire and called 911,” said Lt. Scott Dakin of the Barrow County Fire and Emergency Services. “With the house already fully involved and no one living in the structure crews went into a defensive mode to control the fire.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Fire Investigation Unit. Fire destroys vacant house
