The Barrow County Airport runway overlay project is moving forward. Phil Eberly, with Lead Edge Design, updated the authority on the project at its Nov. 17 meeting. The Georgia Department of Education approved the plans and the project has been put out to bid.
Bids will be opened Dec. 15.
Also at its meeting, the board approved additional ground lease area for mini-warehouses.
This will tie into the existing lease area off of Hwy. 29 and will allow for four more one-sided buildings to be built.
Airport runway project continues

"The Georgia Dept. of Education Approved the plans" Why is the Dept. of Education approving anything to do with the airport Overlay Project?
